SOCIAL MEDIA BLAST: NIGERIA VS CAMEROON

Nigeria has come under yet another verbal attack by another country and again, it is for our music.A one-star Cameroonian actor known as Pancho CY made a video which he puts Nigerians on full blast.

Pancho whose major issue was the patronage of Nigerian music in Cameroon stated that his fellow Cameroonians need to urge Nigerian artistes from performing in their country. He also said Cameroonians need to promote their own culture and music rather than patronize Nigerian music.

The upcoming actor said Nigerian music need to be banned in Cameroon. He describrd Nigerians as greedy, saying that he has lived among them and has some as tenants and workers. The angered actor praised his fellow citizens for reportedly not showing up at Joeboy's performance during his visit to their country. He also blasted the President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, after he paid Wizkid to perform at his private family's party.

CY also stated that while Cameroonians play a lot of Nigerian music, the opposite is the case in Nigeria. He also warned Cameroonian DJs against playing Nigerian music in their clubs.

"No to Nigerian music in Cameroon. We are tired of your greed. Nigeria men are born greedy. I know their character very well. Nigerian artistes are not more talented than Cameroonian artistes. How many Nigerian artistes can sing in five different languages, all in one song?".

In a similar story, Ugandan musician, Cindy Sanyu, recently reacted to the arrest of Nigerian music stars, Omah lay and Tems for performing at a packed concert in the East African country.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Cindy critized the Nigerian musicians for holding a concert in her country while their own artistes starved.

According to Cindy, artistes in Uganda had their means of making money taken from them due to the coronavirus lockdown as they could not perform at shows
